I'm getting the feel of it. I had issues with too little take up and too much spin, but after an adjustment or two, it's better.

Days 1-3:

And beautiful gray roving:

I wish that I had specific questions to ask, but so far I'm figuring it all out. I haven't tried any of my "good" roving yet and I haven't tried to ply. Those are next. I'm hoping to have  a friend over Thursday night and go from there.

I also need a niddy noddy. Any ideas for a cheap/quick homemade one??

Thanks for the welcome.

Look at page two on this area for "what a girl will do for gadgets" for ideas on how to make a niddy noddy. Looks like some great ideas!!

Very nice. I love that gray! What kind of wool is it? I'm assuming it's wool, so correct me if I'm wrong.

It is wool. It's kinda a franken-wool-mix, know what I mean? I got it from a spinnery and they basically said it was a mix of all different types of wool.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
