I've been on a sock-knitting kick of late... even though it is officially sandal season in California!

Here's the one that I finished recently:

Closeup of the lace:

Pattern used: Snowflake Lace Socks by Melanie Berney, from the Sept, 2006 Magknits: http://magknits.com/Sept06/patterns/snowflakesocks.htm

Yarn: Knit Picks "dye your own" 100% merino sock yarn

Everyone should try this pattern... it's a bit harder to remember than some other lace patterns, but you get used to it after a while and have fun with it Smiley

I really like those! The white shows off the lacework very nicely.

ooooh those are so nice! I love them. They would be very, very cute as knee highs - and then what does it matter that its warm, wear them with some maryjanes and a skirt!

Beautiful!  I agree with vanillaxlight, they just scream knee-highs and mary janes to me!

Those are so intricate! I would never have the patience to knit lace with tiny yarn on tiny needles like that.  You have some skills!

coral -- it's addictive... you should try it! i am still amazed at the techniques used in sock knitting and the way it renders -- it's quite fun!
