This is very cute and could easily be turned into a monkey...my daughter is crazy about monkeys! 

Your real kitty on your blog is adorable!  Also, I love those socks and the colors you used for the skully potholder!  I have been wanting to make the potholder but couldn't decide on colors and now I know!
