inky curlicue doodling cards

I had lots of fun making thank-you cards for special people this year. Normally I don't send them, I phone instead, but this year is different. They are made from hand-made recycled cotton rag from India and decorated with drawing ink, applied with a pen. Those are GREAT. But I have a question, did you use a stamp for the text, or did you just freehand it?
