Here is a little blanket that I whipped up on New Year's Day.  This project is intended for my yet-to-be-born nephew.

The safari fabrics are actually from off-cuts of a stitch and flip quilt that I made for the first baby born in my family.  The star fabric is extra fabric from a mantle cover that I quilted for my mother.  Hopefully, my yet-to-be-born nephew won't think this of this as leftovers and afterthoughts rather as being tied to projects I've made for other members of our family.

The way I figure it, there was I reason that I had soo much fabric left over from these other two projects - him.  And as luck would have it, his parents are decorating his nursery in a safari theme too!
