I made these monkeys for my 2 youngest nieces for Christmas, so they could play out "5 little monkeys jumping on the bed."

They are just made out of wool felt. I embroidered the simple features.
Here they are together.

My niece Joey (3) she really didn't want her picture taken, but she gave in to her uncle  Cheesy

My niece Ambrosia (2) she immediately fell in love with the one with the orange bow in her hair. She LOVES orange right now!

LOL, we always get a "care package" type gift,
Every year we get a laundry basket with towels, toothpaste, detergent, toilet paper, etc....

So cute! And I love the "Five Little Monkeys" song!!

It must have been hard to sew something so tiny! Did you hand sew them? Or use generous amounts of glue?

I hand sewed the face on, and I hand sewed the tummy and bows on. Then I put right sides together (adding the ears and arms inside) and sewed around the top and sides with a machine, then I turned them inside out. The sewing wasn't too bad, I cut out and hand stitched everything in about an hour. The machine sewing didn't take long at all. The turning it I had to be a little careful or they would stretch, but it was fine. Total time was less than 2 hours for all of them.

Thanks for all the great comments. I thought they were cute, and my boys are now wanting some, but it's nice to hear other people like them too. Thanks!
