So many dollhouses or other cool salvaged objects could be converted into birdhouses,  small-doghouses, or lizardhouses, etc. And then once they can fulfill this new function, becoming a cozy home to a furry/feathery/scaly friend, they can be decorated with crafty abandon! Its a little like building your dreamhome, without the headaches, expense, size or commitment.
Want to give it a try?

I'm turning an old Fisher Price Little People schoolhouse into a birdhouse and trying to renovate it into a mediterranean/mission-revival style design. It hasn't been touched in a few months because inspiration hasn't struck for how to deal with the gaps in the clay tiled roof. But if other people are interested in a project like this, we could give each other pointers.
THIS ROCKS   Logged

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Almost done with library school! That sums things up for now.
