Tulle Dress-up Headband

I hadn't planned on entering this challenge, but the tulle caught my eye at the craft store, and I had to give it a try.

Wow! Tulle crochets up nicely! How wide do you have to cut the strips? And how do you attach them together?

I bought a roll that was 6 inches wide and 25 feet long.  Then I took my rotary cutter and  sliced it in half so I'd have more, but since headbands are small, I never needed to join it.  I imagine you'd join it just like regular yarn though.

Very nice - I didn't realize tulle would work up so nice.

So pretty, What size hook did you use?

I think it was a G--but the cool thing about tulle is that you can use any size hook and it adapts very well.  (poofs out with bigger hooks, more dense with smaller)
