Hey there, after seeing quite a few double knit scarves and things in the completed projects section, I was wondering if anyone would want to join a double knit knitalong with me! It can be any item - hat, scarf..

I'm working on a double knit houndstooth scarf right now and it's going very sl-o-o-o-wly. I'd love some company  Smiley Plus I bet I'm doing some stuff wrong since this is my first time double knitting.

Okilydokily, do consider joining!  Cheesy

I am working on Exchequered, from Knitty.com, and although I am loving the double knitting, it does go very slowly.  This is my first double knit project, and I am still kind of fascinated by it.   Cheesy

I thought I'd post a progress pic (to shame myself into knitting more..)

I'm using this as a chart

and this is what i've knit so far..

not much of a scarf yet  Undecided this is my first double knitting project, something tells me I shoulda picked an easier pattern (like the cute star scarf) but this is a present for my brother and he wanted a houndstooth scarf. I'm totally going to steal it and wear it all the time when it's done  Roll Eyes

I started on a double knitted scarf yesterday, but after a couple of rows I found out I didn't have anough of the same yarn. I started over again this morning with new yarn, so I'm joining in.

It's going to be a Space Invaders scarf! First time double knitting and knitting a scarf.

neekie, that houndstooth pattern is cool.  Great job!

My pattern is much more simple, but I am loving the way it is coming out so far.  I started this scarf about a week ago, and this is what i have done:

The colors are actually dark blue and grey, they don't show up that well in the pictures.

This is great!  I also started working on a double-knit scarf just last night and would love to motivate myself along with everybody else. =>
Mine is also a Space Invaders scarf, but with my own pattern.  I got extremely excited as I was knitting along and I discovered I really WAS doing it right... so cool!

I'm easily excited with knitting achievements...

^Awesome! What's yours going to look like? Mine is 15 inch now and isn't looking that great, but I like it anyway. I'll try to post a progres pic.
