Crooked Cable Socks- my first pair

 I had never knit a pair of socks before, but my mother practically begged me to make her some for Christmas. Most would start with a simple ribbed pattern, but I tend to make things hard on myself and have to start out as hard as I possibly can. haha. These actually weren't that bad- the needles were size 1, so they did take a while. It's all good though, my mum LOVED them so much!


 -They aren't really too big- they were just bunched up on the bottom in this picture

 I apologize for the mediocre pictures. My mum was too busy to let me take 'modeled' pictures, so I had to do it while she was on the phone.

 It is actually really soft! I was a little worried it would be stiff or something, but it was soft and not at all fuzzy. I really hate when yarn pills and fuzzes everywhere. It bothers my nose

My first pair were just plain old stockinette! That's amazing!

I'm soooooo adding to these to my 'Things to Knit' list.
Lace/Cabling + Socks = Addiction.
My first pair of socks were lace, second cable, & now I can't stop!

The socks look great.  You did an exceptional job on your first pair.  I also really like the color.
