Just saw some lady wearing a similar scarf the other day and really liked it. Especially since the wintertime is so dark and depressing I thought these bright colors would be nice.
So I went to the next yarn store...well, this is the result  Wink
Now I'm not so sure if it isn't a little too colorful  Huh

Nope! Not too colorful! Especially as I sit here on a rainy dreary January day...

Nice job and I like the "ribs" on the hat. And, how did you make the brim so it would keep its shape?

Thanks you guys  Wink

Well the brim is 2 sc in 1 previous sc. I've made a few of these hat before and the brim always kept its shape.
The scarf is from 'Stitch 'n' Bitch'. I just changed it a little bit.
The hat is from a german tutorial:

I could try to translate it into US terms if anyone would like to crochet the hat. Just let me know  Wink

Ok. I will do my best  Wink
There's just one stitch that I don't know what you guys call it. We call it a 'relief dc'. It's like...hmmm...you put the needle all around the one dc. You can do it from the front or the back. When you do it from the front you will get those 'ribs'. What do you guys call it?

I will start translating now...hopefully I will post it tonight.

Peace
Jen

It sounds like that stitch might mean front post stitch or back post stitch? I don't even know how to do those stitches, but that is what it sounds like.

I'd wear that in a minute!  I love the rainbow but for me, I'd love to see it in earthtone stripes.  That hat is just to die for!
