I have tons of empty wine bottles I've been saving cause I'm having a wedding in July.  I know I can use them for something but have no idea what!!!  I like the gel candle idea but I would probably kill myself with a glass cutter!!!  Any thoughts???

You could try making olive oil bottles. I say it on Diy. You fill it with olive oil of course ands then you can put in plants, herbs and different seeds. JUST a thought

You could glass etch them and then fill them with anything! Glitter, candy, flowers, colored sand, etc. etc. etc.!

Wine bottles look awesome with fake plants (or anything you want to throw in) and lights! I've seen christmas lights put in bottles, and the excess lights either layed on the surface around the bottle. or just tied up behind it.

I've used them as candle holders before.... you just use regular taper candles and then shape the bottom of the candle so they fit in the bottle openning.  You can also cut the candle in half if it looks too long on top of the bottle, or burn it down some so the wax runs over the bottle (I always thought that looked kinda cool myself)

Ohhh I had forgotten about that!! I really like the melted candles that are different colors dripped over the bottle!!!

If you can get your hands on a kiln you can melt them into cutting boards, candle holders, or spoon rests:) Know any potters?
My studio mate does this on occasion. It's wicked cool.
