A fellow lolita! These are all really lovely. I was wondering about your alice bows though, I can never get mine quite right. I love the blue and cream sweet lolita one especially, is it just a few rectangles, or is there more shaping them?

You truely are "the queen of france"! I really really appreciate all the help, and I can't wait to try out your theories! I can hardly imagine how long it would take to develop the talent you have (seriously, you must have been sewing since you were two, or something! unless you're way older than you look...), but I'm still super excited to finally be able to wear this type of clothing. No one around here even knows it exists, so obviously, it's impossible to find. I hope this type of skirt looks good without a petticoat - I'll have to wait to get one of those. Planning this stuff out is so fun, isn't it? I should probably just get you to make me something, if this is what you do for a living, but I doubt I can afford you.

Keep on rocking the Don Hertzfeldt! I'm glad you're into Clowes, too. He's the only artist I've ever totally obsessed over - I own every trade he's ever released, and about half of the "Eightball" collection.

Hi Meiki!  Always nice to meet another Loli  Wink

The Blue and Antique white floral skirt is closer to an A-line skirt in style, though it is still elasticized at the waist.  That skirt was a little more tricky, because I made the skirt the entire length I wanted it to be, then added the ruffle about 5 inches from the bottom of the skirt, and added a navy blue lace trim at the top of the ruffle, and at the very bottom of the skirt.  I haven't made a bow for it yet but I do plan on it!

Bows take some experimentation.  I have one single thin metal headband that I attach whatever bow onto that I feel like wearing that day.  I think the bow that I wore with my Alice shirt turned out the best, though they are all lovely =]

Simplicity Costumes pattern  4015 has a pattern for a very cute bow, so if the fabric store near you has a sale on patterns at any time, you should pick it up! Here's a list of patterns I've found that can be loli-fied:

A ruffling foot, huh?  That sounds like a pretty good idea... I have a really huge project coming up soon, a floor-length hoop-skirted dress, and the entire skirt of it is made up of layers of ruffles (Ever seen Firefly?  If so it's Kaylee's party dress I'm talking about).  So with miles and miles of ruffles to do I think I could dish out the $16 Smiley

Oooh! o_O

Your stuff is gorgeous! That Little Red Riding Hood costume is freaking amazing and the tutorials are easy enough to follow. Thanks! Love your style... a less fussy version of EGL than I usually see.

Lola_in_slacks, of course you can afford me; my whole company's premise is being affordable.

I will be launching my own EGL website displaying what I've made and what's for sale, so keep an eye out for it pretty soon!

And thanks, PixieSkull, making EGL stuff isn't hard at all, it just takes time and patience.  I will be posting pictures of my cute new set as soon as possible!

EGL is great, of course you should love it HKonacid.  Do you dress lolita or kodona or do you just admire?
