My retro Nintendo tribute blanket, for my equally as nerdy BF.

This is the first blanket I ever made. Sadly I have been crocheting since I was about 10 years old (and I am now 23), but needless to say everything up until now has been small, cause I have no attention span.

I made this blanket for my boyfriend last year for Christmas. He loved it. Which I am glad cause it took forever to make.. Especially the little granny squares that I used for the "tetris" blocks... I felt like I was making those for days.. LOL.

Only recently found out about this site from a dear friend, and have been browsing the crochet forum and loving every minute of it. I hope to post many many more projects soon, I have a bin full of yarn and am dying to use it for something. I really want to try some of the stuffed animals (loved the octopi, is that plural, I don't even know), and the sushi tp cover really gave me some neat ideas.

Wow, I ramble.. hehehe.. So I will stop now, hope everyone enjoys the blanket. If anyone wants to know about the grids I used, just ask, and I will attempt to explain.

It's White Mage, that is so awesome! I grew up playing all those games, this is quite possibly the awesomest afghan ever! I love the bob-omb and Fighter is so cute! I'm so jealous of your boyfriend, and your crochet skills. I'd love to do this for my boyfriend, he's a pc gamer though so I don't think he'd truly appreciate the glory of this afghan.

The FF characters are awesome!

I took a second look, and there was Vivi from FF9, my favorite of the FF games.

NerdyCrochetGal, awesome work, I'm so impressed.
