These are so cute!  I love all the appliques!  Did you design it yourself?  Care to share the templates?  Grin

Novastarlet!  These are terrific!  I have that book that has the lamb patch.  So cute...

Once I made a zipper pouch for a gift.  I have to make more with patches like yours!

Yeah, aren't they so cute?! Cheesy

Here's a tip: Make sure that you use the pattern for the smaller version of the mascots for your applique. You know how they often have mother and baby combos? The bigger ones just seem to be too over-whelming for the pouches.

I actually have another pouch that I made a while back which I should post up here. I use it every day to carry around my iPod, earphones, cable, and power jack. It has that same little bunny pattern I used for the angel package on the mascot/stuffie swap we just did. Um, minus the skulls Tongue

What do you use to put on the felt applique?

I tried to search out the forum, but can't seem to find good ways to apply felt!  Smiley

Thanks!

I apply them with itty bitty, tiny tiny hand stitches Wink

I have tried some glues (for noses) but it doesn't hold up - especially if you are really using the pouch (example: taking it in and out of your purse). Super glue does a good job of holding the little eyes on, though.

Just like novastarlet, I use blanket stitches and embroidery floss to apply felt.  Sometimes, if there are googley eyes, those get glued on, but otherwise it's all hand stitching!

I just made a ton of new pouches for a swap. I had to post the new pictures because I'm so thrilled with how they turned out. I'm also feeling a whole lot more comfortable with sewing zippers!

There is an "outside" shot on the updated first post. This shows the lining.

Here's a closeup of one of my favorites. The colors were a special request, but I think it turned out nicely.
