I was in Seattle for a week, visiting my parents, and my hands felt restless.  After digging around in my mother's stash, finding only acrylics and novelty yarns, I came up with a thistle hat with earflaps.  The shape is based on Knitty's Cross-Country Chullo, though I didn't actually read the pattern--I just looked at the picture.

There are more details on my flickr set if you're interested.

Oo I really like this Cheesy I think you did a fantastic job! Especially for jsut looking at the picture, I just learned how to knit socks and even with the most simple(est?) pattern I could find, I still had to frog it about 4 times. again amazing and the color combo looks good too Cheesy Shocked

If you're happy and you know it say a swear; Boobs, Hiney, MITTENS!

Check out the blog for my photography and crafts...and don't forget silly high school drama Cheesy

Nice hat!  I especially like the thistles. (And the tassel on top!)

Mistake?  No... it's an Unexpected Design Element.  I put it there on purpose.  *ahem*
