MY daughter loves Greenday, and I wanted to get her a bag for Christmas, but the prices were waaay too much for what you got.

I had been chatting to friends about the canvas army bags people painted themselves, in the UK, in the 80's, and had seen a few similarly recently, so thought I'd have a go.   Shocked

Ok, so I bought the bag and patches etc, but got some fabric paint and came up with this;

She thought it was amazing, and didn't realise I'd made it until later that day, she thought I'd bought it!!  Grin

(The link says knitting, cos thats where I'm usually found on Craftster!) Mucho confuso!!  Roll Eyes

That is a good paintjob!  Shocked What type of paint did you use? I have a tan canvas bag from Aeropostale that is due for a make-over.

wow that's way cool, very nice job!  I can see why your daughter thought you'd bought it and didn't realize you'd made it - it's VERY professional Smiley

It's Pebo (sp?) opaque fabric paint.

Basic stuff. The stars came out almost a bit 'pixillated' on the edges though, cos of the grain in the canvas.
