my hubby would join THAT swap--our garage is full of bought stuff that I have replaced with Craftster goodies...no more painted velvet paintings for me...and no yucky canvas tote bags or cheap ass jewelry--you guys rock my house with your goodies!!
*chuckles* I'm not quite there yet, but then...I'm still "new" here Wink

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

Well, my husband just called to tell me that igobylorib's package arrived and is sitting on my sewing table. Sheesh! Now my last 3 hours of work will take FOREVER! Ugh.

He said he is going to register with craftster and start a "Husbands of Craftster Addicts" Swap where they send stuff that is already made around the house. He said he would send, and I quote, "the pillow YOU bought for the couch and never used because you liked the ones you made better. The old drapes that YOU bought and ended up replacing with the ones you sewed. And then... I would send a brand new package of beef jerky, because most husbands like beef jerky."

I am not kidding. This was the exact conversation. He's so wierd. (He graduated from college with a degree in Printmaking... like he has any room to complain about crafty!)

he sounds so cute!  hahaha...most husbands (and boyfriends) looooove beef jerky!!!

My Mark would join, just to sneak the "extra" stuff he thinks I have.

I have 4 boxes of handwoven squares that need to be made into ponchos.

And he told me a box of wraps that I wove would fit perfectly in the trash can. I wouldn't have to do anything to get rid of it. (Like taking pictures and uploading and describing on my etsy.)

And a box of my old cross-stitch supplies.

And a new triangle loom that he thinks is one too many crafts.

and 300 pounds of yarn we have been trying since October to sell off, which is left of the 2000 pounds I originally started with. . .

Yes, Mark is long suffering, but after 30 years of watching me start new crafts, collect, and move on. . . well he tries to sneak things out thinking I won't know or miss them.  Shocked

Hehe. Fooled him. I discover it almost immediately, boy do I know my stash or what?

Okay, where did you say that swap board was? I need to check it in case Mark really does join!!!
