I just remembered that, back in middle school, we batik-dyed fabric for art class! The sad thing is, I have no earthly idea where it could be now  I probably had no idea then that I was capable of making a purse or pouch out of it 

I also couldn't help checking the USPS website and it said my package from SewPixie arrived this morning! I can't wait any longer!!! Pleaseeeee come, Mr. Mailman.

well, USPS says my package from MO was accepted at her PO, so they're useless lol. I think I'm supposed to be getting mine today as well. And it's at least another 4 hours before mail gets here...

Ooooh, batik dyeing! I've been wanting to try that so much. One of the other fourth grade classes in my elementary school did batik dyeing as a project. I was jealous, and I've been wanting to try it ever since.

Well, my husband just called to tell me that igobylorib's package arrived and is sitting on my sewing table. Sheesh! Now my last 3 hours of work will take FOREVER! Ugh.

He said he is going to register with craftster and start a "Husbands of Craftster Addicts" Swap where they send stuff that is already made around the house. He said he would send, and I quote, "the pillow YOU bought for the couch and never used because you liked the ones you made better. The old drapes that YOU bought and ended up replacing with the ones you sewed. And then... I would send a brand new package of beef jerky, because most husbands like beef jerky."

I am not kidding. This was the exact conversation. He's so wierd. (He graduated from college with a degree in Printmaking... like he has any room to complain about crafty!)

my hubby would join THAT swap--our garage is full of bought stuff that I have replaced with Craftster goodies...no more painted velvet paintings for me...and no yucky canvas tote bags or cheap ass jewelry--you guys rock my house with your goodies!!
