Ooo, AMAZING package A-A!  The batik fabric is wonderful! is it cotton or is a stretchy fabric or what kind of fabric did you use? and all the colors! Usually I see batik made in one or 2 colors but this coloful one that you made totally rocks! and the ATCs are great too.  Lucky O-Y!

and zombie, the bracelet you made is so awesome! great colors, great elements, it is beautiful.

bonbonz101, beautiful fabrics, I am loving the 2 colorful ones, and the earring holder is a great idea! so useful.

ok    now  I get eh  Batik  that is  great  stuff .
Both  ladies that  PMed me  with  the  info thanks  a bunch!

..but  know  you lost me  on the kinder hippo biscuit.......  I think I need to get  out more!
Kinder Hippo biscuit is a German chocolate. Anything Kinder, is really. Not always easy to get, this side of the pond Wink

Piffle, I hit "post" too soon lol.

Sewpixie, you got some awesome stuff. I agree, the paisley is to die for Smiley

Seamonkeychick, batik is pretty much dyeing fabric after you've made a design on it using wax. After you've dyed the fabric, you remove the wax, and voila, design on your fabric in its original color. (I don't think I'm too far off here, am I, ladies?)

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

you did just fine.  and you can layer colors by waxing, dying a color, ironing out the wax, waxing new areas and re-dying.

wikipedia has a pretty good description and some pictures.

Everyone's fabric has further spurned my own addiction to new heights!! OMG--I am going to have to pull out all of the "make your own fabric designs" books--mmmm I love tie dye and batik--looks like my summer is going to be filled with dyed fabrics hanging out on the clothesline! Lovely!

AA--you never cease to amaze me...you are a true artist! So, if you ever need a second home, come join the others I plan to capture or tempt away....(sigh, the list grows longer every day...)

I have not had a chance to comment on everything yet...this weekend I plan some "alone" time with this gallery....heaven so far!!
