This is a cocktail dress I made from a vintage pattern to wear to my office christmas party. Its a sheer fabric over duchess satin, and it was my first time doing an overlay like that. I'm quite pleased with it!

A lot of my coworkers know I sew, so there was a lot of "are you making your dress?" in advance, but I think I acquitted myself well. Plus, its a really comfortable dress, which allowed me to actually EAT.
