Wow, I love the shaping and the upper-back construction--what inspired that? It kind of reminds me of Regency dresses (or more accuractely, the costume design on Jane Austen movies, since that's about all I know about the period) but I never would've imagined that on a sweater. It looks fantastic.

I was inspired by some other sweaters with similar necklines - knitty's Tubey and one on Anthropologie, but while knitting this I did watch lots of things with pretty dresses - Fingersmith, Deadwood and Ruby in the Smoke mainly. It was indeed inspired by some dresses and also the shaping of Elizabeth Zimmerman's seamless hybrid sweater.
