It's obviously really bulky yarn, if that helps at all...

They call everything knit eventhough it's crochet. I can't make out what this is though, it could be knit in purl stitch.

Oh man, that yarn's so fuzzy you can't even tell. I think it's crochet. Just get the fuzziest bulky yarn you can find.

Agreed, I would probably crochet it, just so you wouldn't worry about dropping a stitch.

P.S.  $398.00  !!!  I am SO in the wrong line of business!

It's knit.  And I'm pretty sure it's garter stitch.  And with that gi-gantuan yarn, it probably would take a whole hour to make.  Could crochet it easily enough, too, since the yarn is so bulky and so fuzzy it really wouldn't matter.  I'd use something like Brown Sheep Burly Spun or Cleckheaton's Gusto 10.  I've used the Gusto 10 and it's super fat, plus it's acrylic and wool but also with 30% mohair for the fuzziness.  I think it'd be about perfect.  And it comes in a color very similar.  #2088.

Well, although I'm still recovering from the price  Shocked, I agree with amethyst and I think its crochet in dc (US sc).
Lothruin, hate to disagree with you, but its pretty difficult to see so its really only my opinion anyway.
The close up picture looks like crochet to me.  I bet it would work up really quick in either knit or crochet.
Still shaking head and chuckling over that price..... Cheesy

I agree, it is really hard to see.  I don't have a problem being disagreed with, either.  Cheesy  We can agree to disagree about what that is, but we agree about one thing:  Knit it in garter stitch or crochet it in dc, it will look great either way.  Smiley

I gotta say crochet...and the yarn looks like a type of chenille. Maybe two strands of Lion Brand Thick and Quick Chenille held together would simulate it?
