I just started the woven trellis scarf from the holiday 2006 issue of vogue knitting with a friend of mine and was wondering fi anyone else cared to join us.  It is the cover project and i think it's beautiful:
My friend and i even bough the exact same yarn to make it, so i'm curious to see how it will turn out with other yarns too.  We're both using Classic Elite Lush (soo soft) in keys green (#4474):

i started this when the magazine first came out. it took a backseat to all the christmas knitting i had to finish up, so i'm actually not that far into it. i'm using some red heart soft in an orange-y color. i'll try to post pics later. can't wait to see how yours is going!

I just started the 4th of the 6 tubes.  I'm getting kind of sick of it!  I'm using Cascade 220 and making it for my mom.  I could only afford 2 skeins, so it will be a lot shorter than the one in the magazine.  I think I did 52 inches or so.  I think it will be cool when it's done; just have to keep plugging away at it!  I'll try to get a progress pic sometime.

Does anyone have any in-progress pics? I won't be joining this KAL, but I'd love to see how this scarf is coming for everyone.

I really want to make this scarf. As soon as I saw the picture on the magazine cover I knew I had to knit it. I picked up a thrift store sweater to frog that would be great for this. It's cream colored worsted weight 100% silk. I'm already dreaming of this one.

Here's a progress pic!:

What a mess!  Here's one that is a bit more orderly:

In Cascade 220, it's not as luxurious as the rest of yours will be, but it's a nice dependable yarn. I'm on tube #5; the end is in sight!

amazing, really, that something as "messy" as that *points to top picture* can become something as beautiful as that scarf Wink

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.
