I think I may try and do another pair of these also. Except this time instead of doing the hat brim for the top, I'm going to try the ribbing stitch that was posted somewhere earlier in this thread.  Mine are quite big and droopy around the ankles. I'm going to try a chunkier yarn too to see if that helps...maybe wool-ease thick n' quick?

Hey did anyone answer the question earlier in this thread about how many loops to leave on the pegs when you move the loops for turning the heel?
I'm working on my first sock finally and the ribbing is so nice but I'm worried I messed up my heel?

I'm guessing 6 (i've had a bit to drink so my brain isn't fuctioning right now) but you do pegs 1-12 and then after moving the loops over you should have (starting at peg 1 ) 3 blank pegs...the heel...and 3 more blank pegs....so 6 loops left on their pegs....

i am making my pair right now using 2 strands of red heart and i accidentally did pegs 1 - 13 so i had 7 pegs with loops still on them but i had 3 on each side empty. I'll post when I get my first one done.

My thinking is ... if you have a sock...with a heel at the end of it all...you've done it right! LOL

lol! I'll keep that in mind! I'm so happy about it! It looks huge but it's prefect sized. For the record I did 24 rows on the long part of the foot to make it fit my size 9 1/2- 10 foot.
