Okay. Since I have no idea where to put this...I'll put it here...
If its wrong just tell me where I can ask!

Okay! I've been desprately looking for a decent corset that wont cost an arm and a leg...
(I need it for a few of my outfits I'm creating!)

But...regardless of price...
I want to know where all of you lovely ladies (or guys!) got your beautiful corsets!

Please and Thankyou!!!

I'm pretty sure most of the ladies around Craftster make thier own. There are a few threads on here with tutorials and links to custom pattern generators and such. If you do a search you'll come up with tons, and I promise, they're not that hard either! If you get nervous about using good fabric first, I suggest an old (or cheap) bedsheet so you can work out all the pattern kinks...then you even have a permanent pattern!

Yeah. its not a fear of using good fabric...(although...)
But more of a ..."I kind of suck at sewing right now"
So...yeah.

But i'm sure i could learn....
What patterns have you used then?

The first one I used was a purchased pattern for a 2-piece prom-style dress. That way I could see the basic shape of the pieces before i got started. It was helpful. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, so I took my own measurements and drafted a pattern from those that came out pretty well, I'm pretty pleased with it.
