I know someone going to Japan in a few months and was going to ask her to bring back some pattern books for me.
My biggest problem is that I don't know what some good mags are. So far I've only heard of Girly*knit and the patterns in that just look adorable!

Can anyone point me in the direction of some more?

Keito Dama is a big knitting magazine with a ton of patterns, I bought an issue recently as well as a couple books in the "Let's Knit" series (they all seem to be put out by the same publisher). I put up a few pictures from these books on my blog, you can see if they are your type of thing or not:

Just out of curiosity are they all knitting patterns? The cover of the Let's Knit book (with the pale yellow background), when I got a closer look at it on amazon japan, looks almost like it's crochet...
