does anyone have suggestions for japanese clothing sewing books, and places to buy from?  not the craft/stuffie/zakka books, though those are adorable. i remember seeing an entry on a blog somewhere of a cute shirt pattern someone had completed from one... (if i could just remember to bookmark those awesome blogs i come across when clicking through links from other entries, but that's another problem altogether ;P)

i know of http://www.kitty-craft.com/ and i may break down very soon and buy this one from them: http://www.kitty-craft.com/shop/step1.php?number=4641

You might want to check out this blog:

In addition to Japanese sewing books and magazines, they review knitting, crochet, etc. They also have resource guides as to where and who you can buy them from.

A while back on a now defunct discussion board, there was a sew-along with the Mrs. Stylebook magazine - it's like Burda, but starts off with a basic block, then the 'patterns' are how to alter your block for each style - custom fit!  The sew-along was because one member could translate the instructions - since you are drafting the pattern, you need to know each step, it's not all graphic.

I was looking for a Mrs. Stylebook awhile ago, I couldn't find a source for buying one.
