oh how exciting that a craftster designed that scarf! Thats the reason i bought the magazine too! You must have been so happy to have it get the cover!  So for kjtendyke and others who have made this, how long does it take?

Holy crap that's such a beautiful scarf!!  Damn!  Do they have this magazine at Barnes and Nobles?  Somebody help!

girlontheleft and dramageek, those are great! It's such a great feeling seeing these! Thanks for sharing the images. Smiley Might I be able to add the images to my Knitters gallery? dramageek, I can wait until you have another image if you would like, but this one is still great!

Superstitch, I had about a month to make it, and I worked quite a bit on it. The only detail I really remember is that it took me 10 minutes to complete 4" of cord. So... there's 6 90" cords... that's 1350 minutes (22.5 hours) not including the garter stitch ends, and weaving...

rainagrey, I'm pretty sure Barnes and Noble would have this issue. I'm not sure when the winter issue comes out, but I'm sure this one (the holiday issue) will be on shelves until it either sells out or gets replaced by the winter issue.

Dramageek - that scarf is gorgeous (great pattern kjtendyke).

I sure hope the recipient can appreciate all the work that went into it. If not I know someone that would  Wink

You can definitely use that picture, and as soon as I get a better one you can have that one too!

I started it back in October, put it down several times, and really cranked into gear in the middle of December. I finished the second half in 10 days, so a month of consistent work sounds about right to me. I was too scared to time myself :-) I also made it shorter - I knit the tubes to 75" and the finished scarf is about five feet long.
