I had the wonderful idea of making all my X-mas presents this year... Eep. (Never again...HUGE family. Undecided) and this is the purse I made for my older sister. She wanted a bag that she could put her school books in and she only had dark purses so she wanted a light one.

OOooooo! Microsuede. Yum.

It holds it's shape really well. And fits a TON.

The inside was random scrap fabric I had cause for some reason I forgot to get some...  Roll Eyes And the outer fabric is a wonderful slightly stretch fabric that I got in the remnant pile!  Cheesy My first purse without someone dictating exactly what to do!  Grin

And here's my little sister's zip pouches. She's going through that 13 year old glittery make-up stage and most of her cases are covered. I forgot to take pictures of the larger one though.  Undecided I finished it X-mas eve and it looks identical, only bigger.

My lovely throw pillow modeling it.

My first time sewing with vinyl! (A lot of firsts this X-mas.) And I didn't use a teflon foot or a zipper foot. lol. Cheesy It was actually not that bad. The vinyl did not stick to my normal foot at all and the zipper I installed without a foot at all. I just lowered the stub down and it pretty much worked like a zipper foot. lol. The vinyl I had gotten randomly from the remnant pile (I'm a remnant junkie. Roll Eyes Hey, cheap fabric that dosen't cost you a ton if you royally goof up.) and I didn't realize there were a huge range of vinyl gauge. Oops. So thisstuff was really thick. If anything that was why I had any trouble. And turning that stuff inside out and shaping it into the bag was the worse part. Sad

The lining of the big purse is amazing, and so is the zip-up pouch thing. Yay you!

(Though I gotta admit, all the sewing jargon after the pictures kinda made my eyes go blurry. Heh...)

Looking for poly-clay earrings: one bacon, one fried egg. Also, a mishmash of red/orange/gold bracelets--beaded, braided, bangles, whatever! If you have the supplies, let's talk! (Please?) I'll swap all kinds of things in return!
