I did this for a youth group; we did the Present Swap/Steal for our Christmas party, so I didn't know who it would go to. I was quite happy with how it turned out, and the recipient seemed to be, too. She said she took it to school and got a bunch of compliments. Grin
It's made from a tutorial that I believe I found on Craftster, but I can't find the link.
The structure is made of cardboard, covered in duct-tape, and since I couldn't find any other colours of tape, I used coloured electrical tape for the edges and strap (ran out of tape).
I left them pretty plain, and told her that she could decorate and draw on them with Sharpies. Smiley

Hey, I can't believe I haven't seen this before!

Of course I've seen it in person and it looks even better.  I didn't see the wallet however!  There was so much going on that night I'm not surprised.

Great job!  I'm told one of the teacher's at the school was quite fascinated by it.  You should be proud.  You did a great job.

Hi! Thanks, Kelly!
Yes, the wallet was inside the purse, the gift certificate was inside the wallet. Tongue
Thank you, that's nice to hear! I'm considering selling them. Smiley

Are you planning on selling them at a craft sale?  Did you see the Kool Aid Jammers purses at the SPCA craft sale?  Boy were they ever a hit!!  I bought 3 for 10$ each! I'm sure that your duct tape purses would be too.  I just love the blue tape on your's.  Where did you get it?  I wish we could buy coloured duct tape here!

One of Amy's friends made a duct tape purse for her for Christmas too.  Its more of a messanger type bag, but tres cool!!  I should get her to show it to you.

I'm thinking about it. Yes, I saw the Kool-Aid purses. I found the instructions for them about a month before that fair, but I never got around to saving pouches to make one. I could send the instructions link to you if you'd like, they're neat!

I'll share a secret... that actually isn't duct tape. It's electrical tape. Wink Although, when I was in St. John's, I picked up rolls of coloured duct tape at Michaels: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, white, brown and black. Cheesy

That sounds cool, I'd love to see it! Grin
