Instead of getting the worsted weight I desperately need I got more novelty yarns  Cry, all Jo Anne Sensation in Baja - Green 6balls, Marcherita - Pink 6balls & Purple 6balls, Carlo blue 1ball and Lourdes green 1ball. I want to use them up quick because I really don't have room for all of it, but I have no idea what to make because I don't really like them. So any ideas?

Use them to make a free form piece and give it away.

Amigurumi! It's about the only thing I know that novelty yarn is good for, everything else with it I find kinda hideous (no offense to fun fur fans!) I never thought I'd actually buy novelty yarn, but now I actually like getting it, hehe.

I forget what the link was - but on a site I found via craftster, they made a knitted "paper chain" Kinda like the construction paper links from grade school - but knit and then joined - I hate seaming so I've been knitting mine in the round and did a few really funky fun fur type yarns....

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

Done with small links and colorful yarn, that would look great on a Christmas tree.  Where was this idea a month ago?!  Cheesy

I think I only came across it a week ago - http://www.simplyknitting.co.uk/resources/simplyknitting/blogpattern2.pdf
now - if only a simply knitting subscription wasn't more than $100/month in the US - darn, I'll just have to go to the bookstore more frequently............. Wink

Wow, over $100/month for a magazine!  I don't think any pattern, crochet or knit, is worth that.  The "paper" chain a great idea, though, especially for those little odd balls of yarn that are too small to do something with, but too big to throw out.
