an elegant, easy, cheap little gift

so these are really easy and fun. They're also really cheap. I'm thinking they need a little something extra though, so if anyone has any ideas, feel free to share!







Sorry they're kinda hard to see. there's no really good way to take a picture of lights inside glass! LOL! But all they are is just the shortest strand of Christmas lights (20) wrapped around inside a glass mason jar with potpourri layered into it. Then I dumped some oil in and shook it up. When the lights get hot, it smells really good. And of course, it looks pretty!

They're cute, they had these at a local cafe, but I don't think they had any scents in them, I like that idea. The only thing I can think of to add is a cute top, lace, fabric, something to decorate the top part.

cute! my gram got me one like that and it had a lace doiley on top with a ribbon tied around it hold it down

it actually isn't because the lights don't get very hot. that's the great thing about it!

Oh my.  That's way cute.  My home came equipped with a bunch of jar candles hanging out on the porches when I started renting 4 years ago but they get all dusty and yucky quickly (no matter how much I switch 'em up and clean them) but I think this idea could work very well to achieve the same atmosphere while being lower maintenance.

i had never heard of or seen them before. i thought i was being quite creative..... oh well. at least the idea is out here now for others to use!
