Hi everyone - my first post here!

So good to find a bunch of people who feel no need to crochet toilet roll holders and the like. i was beginning to think I was alone in my hatred of 'cutsey', but now I realise that I am in good company.

I'm in the process of teaching myself lampwork beads - so have many mangled and misshapen specimens. Who'd a thought making something as simple as a bead was so prone to disaster...I'll try and take some photos of the most awful ones, as I'm sure we could all do with a good laugh.

Anyway, regarding this board - and maybe also "Crafts gone bad" in the Blog section - have any of you ever been to Disturbing Auctions - www.disturbingauctions.com? The guy who runs the site has trawled many online auctions andcome across some truly, deeply hideous stuff. Really, really disturbing. More so, when you realise that people actually want paying for this tatt.
It made my cry with laughter when I first found it, but it seems not to have had any new items recently. I'm sure that there are many specimens still undiscovered...

Seemed appropos for this board, enjoy.

Okay, I have to admit though that the flying alarm clock is a brillantly horrible piece of technology. It might actually get my grumpy not a morning person husband out of bed. At least, I'd be amused to watch it!
