Too early indeed! 2pm! I got my coffee and sat in the corner until I actually ended up cold of all things, then I went to the evil that is walmart and bought a massive skein of bernat handicrafter. Alas, I think I left either shortly before or after you posted.

I will probably end up on campus again (with a... sweater?!?! hah.) if this sticky heat keeps up. Do we want to set up something formalish as a get together time? I know I've seen other people from the area posting -- they should come too! *hint! hint! to the lurkers* Speaking as a 31 year old woman that sat for a couple hours today on campus with a laptop and crocheting, nobody cares if you're a student or not.

You know, I think what I thought was the torque room is the student union lounge, or something like that. It's up a floor by Wilf's with couches and things.

Yeah, that room gets the unlikely name of the 24-hour lounge because it's accessible 24/7. This school sucks at naming things.

You can pick a time, since I really do live across the street and can be anywhere on campus in 10 minutes or less.

Technically it is, but after 11pm the doors lock automatically so you'd have to already be in there or hope the doors in front of the C-Spot are open and enter from the 3rd floor.

I can do Monday night. Is the torque room good? Even in the summer it's a better place to be because so many people travel through there. What time do you like? I'm planning on spending most of the day there anyway, but just so I can venture for food and such first if needed.

Man, I'm a ditz sometimes. I kept telling myself all weekend to reply and obviously I didn't! If you're still free how does 7pm sound? Gives me enough time to feed the family.

Sounds good to me! You'll have no problems figuring out which person I am, since I highly doubt there'll be a mob with knitting and/or cross-stitch in there. I'll be working on my essays and such this afternoon, but I'll have the craft stuff out after 6:30.

I was just in London today, for my mother in laws 60th b-day party!
Has there ever been much of a Waterloo crafting group? I really need some friends irl who get the whole crafting obsession.

Yes, there was. It was even a campus club through WLU. But a lot of people graduated and interest waned.

I'm definitely interested...and obsessed. I spin, knit, dye, and cross-stitch. I can crochet some but I don't find it as satisfying as knitting.
