I don't know if this has been done before, but I'm willing to host an A-Z swap....

Here’s how it works: To join you would choose a letter say B and you would pick something to do with that letter. It has to do with the letter somehow (B for brown or B for braid).  Then you will make or buy 26 of these things. Then you will send your 26 things to me with some money for postage and when I get everyone’s I will sort them out and you will in return get a fun box of 26 different craft things. For small things (that cost less than a dollar to buy/make), send a few per person.  If you want to do two letters then you will get twice as much stuff back. The due date will depend on how long it takes for the abc’s to fill up. Lets shoot for a due date of Jan 19th so it gives people plenty of time after the holidays. That way everything should be too me and sent back out by Feb 1st. I am thinking if we did 4 dollars for postage I could send them back priority mail and I would get the free cardboard envelopes from the post office that would be safer to send then a regular envelop. Let me know what you think on postage. If you are doing multiple letters we will also have to figure out what a good shipping cost would be. Also lets not post what we are sending so that the final package will be a surprise. Send me a message if you have any other questions. Thanks!

i'm pretty sure this type of swap isnt allowed on craftster....it has to be direct swapping one on one style i think...i havent read the guideline in a while though...but i dont think they've changed...

It could still be done, although I don't know how many people would be willing to send out 26 packages.  That might get a bit expensive.  Wink

You could always re-vamp the idea and have pairs of swappers exchange one package of 26 small items (A-Z themed, of course) and based on their partner's likes/posts/wists. Wink

What do you think?

Lovelyxmalia, you have to be a member of craftster for one month, and have posted 15 times to participate in a swap. In addition, you must participate in at least two swaps and have received positive feedback before you are allowed to organize.

As hardcoremothball said, Craftster does not allow the type of swap that you were first proposing. There were instances in the past where the organizer received everyone's goods and cash and then just disappeared.

Maybe some of the alternative methods that have been suggested will work, but you will need to find a qualified organizer before this swap can run.

Thanks.  Smiley

Or how about you include crafts that are decorated by the whole alphabet?
Or choose favourite groups of letters in order? For example, I like the letters X, Y & Z beside each other. Or ABC, or LMN?

Or it could even be done similar to the Alphabet ATC swaps. The first round could contain crafts relating to ABC, the second round DEF, the third round GHI, and so on.
