I've been tring to learn to knit for real. I need to practice some more and prep my homemade dpns. (which is really fun I'm just being lazy.)
The belt didn't work out. Yarn is not heavy enough for the buckle. So I will have to make it out of fabric of some sort. But now I figure I'll add fringe and leave it a short skinny scarf. But it's really warm and soft. I tested it without the fringe and it's nice and warm. Wink
But I'm torn because I could put a tie on the end and it could be a belt.

That's a good idea. I need to look through my stash. I will have to do that when I get home from work. Thanks!

Yay! I just got my Singer knitting machine today and am anxious to use up all that novelty yarn my grandma and aunt gave me when I started knitting. It's $9 on hancock's website and $12 in the store. I was going to ask them to lower it, but I didn't want to cause a problem.

The yarn that came with it feels like plastic though! Worst acrylic touch I've ever felt! Eeeewwies. That stuff is getting trashed pronto.

I got dd one of the Sew Easy KNitting Machines at Goodwill Friday for $3.

We had a few issues, some drop stitches, and some gathering of stitches. But we finally figured it out.
And here is what she just made for her baby.... I did the icords for the straps, but she did the rest.

I found one on ebay for $11 I wanted to wait until I ran across one in the thrift store but I couldn't wait until that happened.I have a stash of thin yarn and novelty yarn that needs to be used up.Hopefully i'll be cranking out cute dolls soon.
