I made this for a swap & got the idea from my partner's Wists. Smiley

She Wisted this link http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=98531.0 and that link provides this link http://www.elsewares.com/commerce/Ticket-Bowls_MPD325.html. Smiley

It's made from a roll of raffle tickets, decoupaged and acrylic sealed in many layers.  I wish I had a more colorful roll of tickets lying around, but at least the concept is there.

oh, thats so cool!  i have bookmarked this for next year!

how many layers of sealer did you use, and did you have to sand or anything between layers?

yours is very mature, where the others with the crazy colors would be fun and funky.  a place for all of these, for sure Grin

good job!

I think I used 3 - 4 layers of Mod Podge and then 2 layers of acrylic sealer - no sanding. Smiley

I put a little rhinestone in the bottom to plug the hole/use one of her favorite colors, but it really didn't need it unless you plan to put itty bitty items in the bowl.

Thanks for the compliments! Smiley

The inside looks like a shell......

I reckon you could make a wire thig that holds it up, then you make a larger one for under neath, then an even larger one.......

And so on and so forth.

I love It!

Ohh... I didn't even look at it like that, but yeah - it does look like a shell inside!

Aw...thanks!  It was SO easy to make!  I'd really like to find some funky-colored tickets on sale sometime to make some more.

It's fun because you can create so many different varieties by molding the tickets various ways.  It's like... clay, but with tickets. Cheesy
