i saw this in the holiday 2005 vogue and i had to make it. started it mid nov, finished it yesterday (just in time for the last holiday party!).

i omitted the bobbles cause i didn't like them. the buttons are so nice, i found these antique black glass buttons with a siver border, they are perfect. i made this out of rosarios bio bamboo- OMG it's the softest thing ever. it was my first time at lace, once i got it down it went swimmingly Wink. it's not as fitted in the waist as i would prefer, but it's manageable.

sorry about the garish colour in the one with flash but i wanted the lace to be visible.

Beautiful job!! I really love it.

(I can't stand bobbles either, lol.)

I'm so glad to see this done by someone else!  I saw this in the magazine and loved it, but I wanted it in black, and you have done it!  great job!  it looks very elegant.

It looks very stylish in black and without the bobbles - I can't stand them either.   Wink

thanks everyone!

yeah the bobbles seemed to really stand out and i wanted something that would be fairly versatile and not overly "victorian revival of 2006 fashionable". it turned out pretty much exactly as i had hoped. Smiley
