butterick 4790. my second attempt. this one fits much better than the last. plus the fabric is super-comfy. it's for xmas dya, because every girl deserves a new dress for xmas.

Looks great! It really suits you, and that seersucker is a great fabric for it. I'm making this, but it's on a slight hiatus while I lose enough weight to fit into the size I cut out (moral of the story: make a muslin!). Can I ask a quick question? You say on your blog that your mum showed you how to get the bias binding to lie straight, can you explain how you did this? Mine's all sticky-outy round the neckline Sad

Oh I'd love to know the trick with the binding!  As for the dress, you look gorgeous in it!  The cut and color suits your peaches and cream complexion.  It just makes me want to TWIRL!
