He's so darn cute!

http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTsheldon.html

I'm knitting mine for a friend in bright pink (body) and turquoise (shell) - can't wait to see how he turns out!
Anyone else making him/already finished?

Would love to see him in different colours!

Smiley

Oh my, he *is* cute!  I can't wait to see some other ones.  I love the pattern on the shell, and that he comes apart.

hehe i love his shell too, you could make him interchangable! I've almost finished his body, he looks a bit like a maraca so far lol

How cute would it be to make a larger version of the shell to fit a cat/small dog?? bit ambitious for me maybe... i'm a new(ish) knitter...

Finally finished my Sheldon! Had a few hairy moments with the shell - I thought he wasnt going to fit, so decided to attach his legs whilst he was wearing the shell! Going to give him to my  sister for her birthday  as she loves turtles Smiley

knitwitUK, your Sheldon looks awesome! I like that you used beads for the eyes; I was going to go splurge on safety eyes, but now I think I'll save my money and try that instead. :3

I've only done the body and a limb so far, but he's pretty easy. You should try out the pattern, Snooze! Cheesy For me, he hasn't been a quick knit like the pattern said he would be...but that's probably because I'm studying for midterms at the same time. You can't knit as fast as you like when you're brain is dying from trying to memorize 180 different species of birds and their scientific names. Sad
