Target has some really cute Christmas/Holiday kitchen stuff this year, so I thought I would take advantage of it.  I've made pillows too, but, this is the tote bag that I made out of a kitchen towel...it's for my son's teacher.
Started out with the towel, and just folded it in half...makes a great size tote bag that will hold everything...and sewed up the sides.

Made the straps and lining...which is actually very cute also, so the tote is reversable...sewed it all up, and this is what I got.

And here it is reversed!  When the holidays are over, she'll still be able to use the bag.

This is so easy!  The bad part is when people think you actually made the whole thing, and you have to say, "No, it was a towel I bought at Target."  lol!

goood job!
hahahah yah i hate that, when you make something that already had embroidery or detail on the fabric and everyones like, 'wow! you did this too?!' and youre like, :/ no... that was already there... and the persons like, :l oh... and they act like it isnt totally great even though you didnt do the detail...

just like yours! its totally cute, regardless of whether you did the detail or target did. :]

That is really cute! Good idea to make it reversable too. Was the mushroom your doing? If so, it looks great! If not, still a cute tote!

Oh that is so cute! And I absolutely eat that it's reversible.
Both sides are great, but I especially eat the side that's red with polka dots & the adorable mushroom.
You did a fabulous job, I'm sure his teacher will eat it(especially since it's cute and homemade, teachers generally eat homemade stuff!).
