We have an annual Mozart Festival and one of the things they do to raise charity funds is auction off decorated violins and other instruments...here's my violin

Hugely impressive.  That is right up my alley, I hope it goes for the amount you think it would go for.  You're wonderful for putting that up for charity!

For some reason the photo wasn't showing up.  Think I've got it fixed. Thanks for looking.  Any comments greatly appreciated as I haven't submitted it yet so changes can be made.

The positive/negative is intriguing.  How did you treat the first instrument?  The second is wrapped in wire I gather, I'd sure like to hear about the materials you used.  Not a tutorial, just what it's made from.

PS: using the one bow can be a very powerful message in the world right now.

The violin on the left is a real violin, silver leafed. ( the Mozart Festival provided it.  I felt bad ruining a real instrument, but I guess it was cheap, and disposable...but still).  The one on the right is paper mache, copper leafed and then wrapped in copper wire.  I wrapped the real violin in plastic and then layered it with paper and paste, basically encasing it in paper mache and then cut it off when dried, patched it back together, etc.  Attached them to a really awful painting I did that I covered over in silver and copper leaf, then added the bow.  What do you mean when you say the one bow can be a powerful message in the world right now?
