Perhaps this isn't as creative as I thought--my roommate came home and said she saw this idea at a friend's wedding. Oh well. I like it.

I love this idea!  And...I like the dried roses in the wine glass too!  I keep all of the roses my b/f gives me, and I desperately needed a new way to display them!  Thanks for this post!

i used a small mason jar for a small pic once, & put a ribbon around the neck of the jar. it worked really well too.

No, it's not waterproof. I had a stack of pictures lying around...and I had an empty vase...so I just curled up the picture and stuck it down inside the vase.

you could use a large wide mouth jar and a smaller jar.  put a pic in the small jar with some marbles to give it weight.  put the small jar in the large jar and fill it with water.

I like that idea---you could maintain the functionality of a "vase" but have the fun frame too.  Now I just need to find me someone to buy me fresh flowers all of the time...  Smiley
