*gasp* actually, the Great Cthulu was going to be my first Amigurumi project, but I guess you beat me to it.  Awesome job!
Do yourself a favor, and get a Lovecraft book.  Most libraries have some collection of his short stories, and I know that Borders and the like carry them.  The problem is that most of what he published was in short story form for weird fiction magazines and such, and so different assortments just get bundled together and published from time to time.

My boyfriend is nuts about this kinda thing. :-D I'm attempting to make him a similar cthulu for Valentine's Day (and a card that says "You will be eaten first" which is kinda... you know, sweet). Yours is wonderful & is great inspiration. I'll post a pic for you if I manage to make one, too. :-)

Interesting.  Kind of reminds me of Davy Jones.

I've been trying to make a pattern for an amigurumi Cthulhu... but I feel it would horridly pale in comparison to yours. -.-;

I know this thread is ancient (2007? This is 2009!), but I simply MUST comment on it!

This... this is an amazing piece of amazing-filled-awesomeness. I mourn that you don't have a pattern for us. Perhaps you could tell us what existing plushie patterns you used? Perhaps I might be able to make some sort of version with a pattern.

Or could you maybe count stitches (if you loved us that much, that is) for us? That takes lots of time, so don't feel compelled to. Or you could take several high-quality/zoomed-in pictures from different angles and then WE could count stitches...

Yeah. I'm just rambling and brainstorming here. Feel free to ignore me. Cheesy

iCraft... far too much <3
