I made lots of mistakes having no clue what I was doing and ended up with a crappy-knitted scarf that's about 3m. long and I love it.  Tongue

Congrats on finishing your first project! And trust me, my first knitting attempt was WAYYYY worse than that and I didn't even ATTEMPT to change colours!

I'm definately going to try to knit some more things, maybe with patterns even? I thought knittinghelp.com would be very helpfull, but I found it afterwards.

I agree with them.  Knit, knit, knit.  I'd turn to www.knitty.com for patterns.  Check out the things other knitters have made.  Aspire, crochet, spin, design, enjoy.  Try everything related at one point or another.  Get into it.
