Thanks. I would have reviewed these posts if I had thought to search.  Cheesy Sorry 'bout that.

i say ponchos are definitely not out. i wear one in the winter all the time and get tons of compliments (my fav one was "nice afghan" from some guy at a coffee shop LOL although i really don't think he appreciated it) actually the poncho i wear is the martha stewart coming home poncho, the one she wore the day she got outta prison. my MIL made it for me w/ homespun...not sure of the name but it has oranges and purples and a bunch of other colors...looks really good. plus come on! if leg warmers are becoming popular again, as hideous as they are, then ponchos are definitely still cool!

Personally, I agree with Vera Wang, paraphrasing "A woman is sexiest when she's wearing something she's comfortable in"  If you like ponchos, wear them, and don't worry about fashion trends.  They come and go faster than I can make garments anyhow.

Yeah, seriously... I never pay attention to 'fashion trends' as they come and go so fast that if you make something that's 'in fashion' today, it'll be out by the time you put it on.

Wear what you feel best in and leave it at that. If you don't like ponchos, leg warmers or whatever, you don't have to make them or wear them.

I agree with Vera Wang too. It has to be more comfortable and less of a fad than PVC trousers.
