Im going to texas to see my best friend in a month...and i really want to make an awsome shirt to show up in. Id love to make one out of a vintage scarf..any ideas???

one super easy way is to use a scarf that is big enough to wrap around your right under the bust. So either a big scarf or a little person, and then fold over the top corner and sew it down leaving your self a channel to run a pretty cord through and tie around your neck, and then tie the two side corners behind your back, ta da, scarf halter!

i made a shirt out of a vintage scarf. it's sort of hard to explain how i made it but here is a picture of what the shirt looks like.

woo i'm texas bound in about 4 days.  anyways, i don't have any pictures, but i took a scarf and used it as the top fabric of a dress pattern i had.  it worked out pretty well because since scarfs are kinda sheer, you also have a lining too.  but that's for the dress.  anyways, i guess my point is you can always take a pattern and use it as a guide and have the scarf act just like fabric.
