I'm posting alot.  I need some positive vibes, as I feel depressed and have a headache.
ANYWAY here is my lamp.  I got it from the church nursery I work in. It was broken, so I re-wierd, painted, decopaged, and stuck pretty things to it and viola!  My lamp, I'm thinking of adding lace to the bottom of the shade since the shade is too small for the lamp.  I got the pictures from when my grandma died.  They're the children and grandchildren of friends of my grandma and greatgrandma's.  The pictures date back from the 1800's to the very early 1900's.  The pretty things are from my costume jewelry collection.  They can be removed if I feel like wearing them.

That's so loverly!  I love the antique feel...The lace idea is a good, and you could also use a fringe or beaded fringe as well.
Great work!

I like it too, but I think you should paint the inside of the shade brown as well. And I think some pretty ribbion, the nice kind at the fabric store that has the beads attached to it would look awsem! And sort of art deco esque.

That's super pretty. It looks like something you'd see in a little boutique or antique store. I think lace would be a nice touch. You could dye white lace with tea to make it look old.

Thank you! Yeah, I have a ton of lace from an estate sale.  The lady made those creepy beaded clown dolls and my daughter even wanted one. She also made baby dolls for her grandkids. I don't like the stark white of new lace so I always dye it.
