I made this as a gag gift for a $5 pollyanna a bunch of my friends are doing.  What do you think?  Someone suggested crotchless panties that hopefully one of the boys would end up with, but I thought I'd try this first.  Smiley

Here is the pattern:

Ch 21.
Row 1: Sc across, ch 1.
Row 2: Sc across, ch 2.
Row 3: Dc 1, *ch 1, skip one stitch, dc in next stitch* until 2 stitches left. Dc 2, ch 1.
Row 4: Sc across, ch 2.
Row 5: Dc2tog, dc 1, *ch 1, skip one stitch, dc in next stitch* until 3 stitches left. Dc2tog, dc to end, ch 1.
Repeat rows 4 & 5 three times more.
Row 12: Sc across, ch 1.
Row 13: Sc2tog, sc across until 3 stitches left, sc2tog, sc 1, ch 1.
Repeat row 13 three times more.
Row 17 - 29: Sc across, ch 1.
Row 30: Sc 1, Sc2tog, sc 1, ch 1.
Row 31: Sc 1, Sc2tog, ch 1.
Row 32: Sc2tog, ch 20, cut yarn, tie end of chain down 6 stitches into itself to create a loop.
With new yarn, ch 70, sc 20 across top of main piece, ch 70. Weave in ends.

To wear, pull yarn ends through loop in back and tie in bow. This way, it fits many sizes.

The other day I saw a tv show where they knitted swim suits and since then I wanted to try to crochet a thong or something.  :p Not sure why but I might do it anyway  Wink

Those are Awesome!
Now I know what to make my sister for Christmas.  Thank you so much for the pattern!
Silly question though, what thread/yarn and hook size did you use?

Again, thanks!

I used TLC Cotton Plus and a size H-8 hook.  A different yarn would probably work better, I just happened to like the color of this one in my stash.  It's a little bulky though.  Cascade Fixation is supposed to be good for this kind of thing, or mercerized cotton.  I'd probably make another one from crochet thread.

Thanks everyone!

lllvllliss.ll3itch - Those are great!  What kind of yarn did you use and how do you think the fit is?  I feel like mine need some elastic.
